wuz up mike i am stuck i might just go back to auto it is a little more stable and it elimanates all the vareables like slipping brand new clutches can you tell me a good place for a rebuild.Unlike many other cars, making power is not the key to low e.t.s for a 300ZX. And unlike Hondas, it's not front-drive suspension tricks. When it comes to Nissan's high-tech supercar, it's all in the tranny. For Zs, a manual gearbox is not the preferred option. An automatic is the key to 10-second performance. We have driven many wicked street Zs, only to see them granulate the rear rubber trying to bag a good quarter-mile time. The problem is, in order to get a clutch capable of handling the power, one ends up with an on/off switch that makes it impossible to feather the clutch off the line. An automatic transmission bypasses this shortcoming and allows the engine to build big-time boost on the line

    Hey Mike,
Is there anyone on Vancouver Island that you would recommend for work on a 300ZX. I have a couple of things I would like to have checked out (transmission slip in 4th and 5th gear).
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Biography
I'm a long-time lover of cool cars (especially sports cars)! I appreciate a lot of the classic "everyday people" cars that Nissan and Infiniti have made over the years like the Z cars, the Skyline, the G35, etc. I've owned a 300ZX Twin Turbo for the last 7 years, and I still enjoy it every time I see or drive it! I'm sure I'll be continuing to upgrade it for a long time to come!

This passion for Nissan & Infiniti cars, combined with all the great fellow enthusiasts I've met led me to co-found this club and forum. We wanted a place where we could share our hobby with fellow Canadian enthusiasts! Currently I handle the technical operation of the forum, as well as helping with a lot of the club events on the west coast!

In addition to being a car nut, a Z owner and a co-founder of the club, I am also a co-owner of Ztune Motorsports, where I get to meet even more enthusiasts who share a passion for our cars! My life had a rough start, but I feel pretty lucky to now have such great friends, a great car and hobby, and a business I truely love!
